We are excited to welcome Dr. Ann-Marie Orlando from the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities to present a training on inclusive Scouting. Come learn about how girls with autism and related disorders perceive and interact the world, how as leaders we can support their participation in Girl Scouts, and strategies for becoming a more inclusive troop. The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) provides support and assistance with the goal of optimizing the potential of people with autism and related disabilities. CARD- UF Gainesville serves 14 Florida counties and there are CARD resources throughout Florida. Dr. Orlando is the Associate Director of CARD- UF Gainesville and a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Florida. This training event is free and open to Girl Scout Adults and Girl Scout CIT Seniors or Ambassadors.
