Have you ever been curious about what goes into hand crafted soap? Then join the residents of Sunrise Senior Living on Sunday, September 17th as their weekend activity director Carmen will lead scouts and resident in the process of crafting Fortune Cookie Soap! Carmen is very experienced in the process and her hand crafted cupcake and cookie soaps she shared at the recent Show & Tell Event were amazing! A guaranteed fun craft that leaders and older girls can take back to their troops to share.

Note: If your scout has not had much interaction with the elderly or visited a nursing home before, it is suggested that they watch the first 10-15 minutes of the Pixar movie UP as an introduction.

A patch is not provided for this event.

* This event is for 2018 registered Girl Scouts, and registered & approved adult volunteers.
* For safety and supervision reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring non-  Girl Scouts or siblings.
* Girl/adult ratios must be followed unless otherwise indicated in the program description. Adults are expected to stay on the premises and in some cases, help girls during the event.
