Does your Scout like to talk about their favorite book, photos piece of art, stuffed animal, or other treasure? Do they love an audience? Then come out and join the residents of Sunrise Senior Living for a Show & Tell event on 8/13/2017. Residents will share items that they treasure such as scrap books, artwork they've created, antique dolls, yearbooks, and other items while the girls in turn can share their cherished item. The experience can go towards petals like Friendly and Helpful or the new Daisy Good Neighbor Badge, Brownie Making Friends badge, Junior Social Butterfly Badge, or Cadette Finding Common Ground badge.
Note: If your scout has not had much interaction with the elderly or visited a nursing home before, it is suggested that they watch the first 10-15 minutes of the Pixar movie UP as an introduction.
A patch is not provided for this event.
* This event is for 2017 registered Girl Scouts, and registered & approved adult volunteers.
