MOSH Workshop- The Science Behind S’mores- JCSA
Grades: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
The secret is out, the Girl Scouts S’mores cookie is back this year and MOSH is going to help us discover the science behind s’mores. In this workshop, Girl Scouts will dive into the science and history of the magic marshmallows, the physics of chocolate, what graham crackers are made of and all things s’mores! From melting points, to cooking methods and even using the marshmallow roasting scale to determine the texture of your treat, this workshop will be one bringing you back to MOSH for s’more!
*Fun patch included at the conclusion of the program for every registered Girl Scout girl.
*This event does not include museum entrance fee. If you would like to visit the museum before or after the program, you will need to purchase a museum ticket upon arrival to MOSH. You do NOT need to purchase a museum ticket to attend the program.
*This event is for 2018 registered Girl Scouts, and registered & approved adult volunteers. If an adult is responsible for a Girl Scout other than their own, the adult must be registered and background checked.
*For safety and supervision reasons, troops and individuals are not permitted to bring non-Girl Scouts or siblings.
*Girl/adult ratios must be followed unless otherwise indicated in the program description. Adults are expected to stay on the premises.
