Dairy Science Tour at Alliance Dairies- JCSA
Grades: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Does anything go better with Girl Scout cookies than milk? No! How do we get the milk from cows in to your cup? Did you know keeping cows cool and comfortable produces better quality milk? Cows have four chamber stomachs and feeding them isn’t as easy as you may think. Find out how your cookies are made more delicious with milk while touring Alliance Dairies, the 2016 Agricultural Environmental Leadership Award Winner, located in Trenton, FL. Alliance is proud of its renewable energy system – converting poop to power! This family run farm is the largest dairy in the state of Florida. They are excited to welcome Girl Scouts and their families to come and see how quality care they provide for the cows turns into quality milk for you and your family!
